Viimeinkin osui käsiini ohje virkattuun Brysselinpitsiin. Olinkin jo jonkin aikaa koittanut etsiä, tosin laihoin tuloksin, sopivaa kokeiluohjetta, ei liian simppeliä, muttei myöskään liian suuritöistä. Nyt sattui silmääni ohje pieneen pitsiliinaan, koottuna viidestä nauhasta.
Finally I found an iteresting pattern to try Bruges crocheting. This type of lace has been in the back of my mind for some time already. I just haven't come across any good size -but not too challenging patterns previously. Most patterns were just 'practise type' motifs (circle, triangle, wave, etc.) or spectacular pieces of art.
Valmis liina on jokseenkin 30 cm neliö ja oivallinen kokeiluprojekti. Toistaiseksi virkkuu on edennyt mukavasti, mitä nyt jatkuva pylväskerrosten tarkka laskeminen kääntymispaikoissa hieman hiertää. Lopputulos tosin miellyttää minua. Varmaan tulen toistekin kokeilemaan tätä.
This 'mat' will probably be 30 cm square and just right project to try the technique and see how I like it. So far I've been good, but not liking the constant counting of the turn rows. Actually the result pleases me. I bet I will try this again in some time after this project is finished.
